July of 2018 marked the beginning of a partnership between the UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital and Randy’s Flooring of Coralville and Cedar Rapids. For every square foot of Stainmaster Comfort-Gel Cushion sold, five cents is donated to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. Since the beginning of the campaign, Randy’s Flooring has been able to raise over $15,000 for the hospital.
UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital is a nationally recognized pediatric center of excellence, providing comprehensive health-care services for children of all ages. As part of an academic medical center, UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital also performs groundbreaking research to help solve the mysteries of childhood diseases, in addition to training the next generation of health-care professionals.
UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital has been committed to improving the health and well-being of children in the state and surrounding region for nearly 90 years. The proceeds from the carpet cushion campaign helps support the work of the hospital to better the lives of children needing their help.
Customers at Randy’s Flooring are not only satisfied with their purchase doing some good, but also with the product, Stainmaster Comfort-Gel Cushion. It contains a breathable moisture barrier that keeps most spills on top of the carpet. If a spill does happen, the Proprietary Odor Guard Technology helped reduce or eliminate the odor caused by pet accidents and food/beverage spills. The cushion is made with recycled materials and is hypoallergenic-ozone friendly as well, giving peace of mind to homeowners searching for safe, clean options.
Randy’s Flooring welcomes you to stop into their showrooms to see the cushion for yourself! If you are not in the market for carpet or carpet cushion, but would still like to donate to the UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital Fund at the University of Iowa Foundation, visit www.uifoundation.org.
