Wieblers Harley-Davidson: Driving Support for Countless Community Causes
When it comes to what Wieblers Harley-Davidson does to give back to the Quad Cities community, the question is more what it doesn’t do. Since the store opened its doors in 1990, the Davenport motorcycle dealer has shared the love with many different people and in many different ways.
One of Wieblers’most prominent passions is generating awareness for military causes. Wieblers’efforts to support troops and veterans include donations to the Freedom Rock memorial, charity rides and events for the Wounded Warrior Project and local United Service Organizations chapters, and sponsorships to help bring the Eyes of Freedom traveling memorial to the Quad Cities.
But Wieblers knows that heroes can come in all shapes, sizes, and ages. That’s why the dealer provides ongoing support to the Children Therapy Center of the Quad Cities through fun initiatives for kids, including free lunches and bike shop activities. And this spring and summer, Wieblers is proud to be the sponsor of the 100 Days 100 Bigs Campaign, an annual drive to recruit 100 adult mentors in 100 days for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Mississippi Valley.
The motorcycle dealer even has an affinity for animals. Wieblers has worked with local shelters like QC Paws and the Rock Island County Animal Care and Control Shelter in order to raise money and promote volunteerism.
And there are countless other ways Wieblers helps the Quad Cities. In addition to making numerous financial contributions to nonprofit organizations, Wieblers organizes and hosts many fundraisers for charitable causes, including Family Resources, Junior Achievement, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Wieblers also donates merchandise for raffle prizes as well as requested items for local women’s shelters and breast cancer organizations, such as CCKMA, Gilda’s Club Quad Cities, and Trinity Health Foundation.
So however tough the Harley dealer may look, with this many community service efforts, the Wieblers staff prove they have supremely soft hearts under those black leather jackets.
