FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Fargo, ND, January 26, 2016 – Locals Love Us, a national franchise that encourages locals to vote for their favorite businesses and publishes the results, has expanded to Fargo. Locals Love Us Fargo franchisee Ray Monahan announced that voting for Fargo residents is now open.
"There is so much to love in the Fargo business community, and Locals Love Us wants to shine a giant spotlight on all of it," Monahan said. "In order for that to happen, we need Fargoans to go to LocalsLoveUs.com and tell us who they love."
Voting is open until March 14. Shortly after voting closes, the first annual list of winning companies will be posted online and followed by a print directory in the fall that will be distributed around Fargo. All winning businesses earn a free directory listing, award plaques and stickers, and the opportunity to add the Locals Love Us award logo to their marketing materials.
Locals Love Us President & CEO Nathan Schock says the concept started 12 years ago in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. "Over that time local businesses and consumers in Sioux Falls have really embraced us. We’re excited to partner with Ray and bring this concept to a thriving business community like they have in Fargo," Schock said.
As an incentive to vote, Locals Love Us will award several prizes to randomly selected voters. Fargo-Moorhead residents can vote for their favorite local businesses at http://vote.localsloveus.com/fargo.
