Iowa City, IA, August 24, 2016 – It's time for Iowa City to let everyone know what you love! Locals Love Us, a national franchise that helps people discover what they love about their community, has expanded to the area. Through an annual online survey, they publish a list of the most-loved places in print and online. The survey is now open for residents of the Iowa City area at

"Over the past five years I've seen how communities like Quad Cities have embraced Locals Love Us," said Ryan Bell, Franchise Owner. "I know Iowa City will love it too. Now, we just need the locals to go to and vote for their favorites!"

Voting is open now at and will go through midnight on October 10. Shortly after voting closes, the first annual list of winning places will be posted online and followed by a free print guide that will be distributed all around the area. All winning businesses earn a free listing, award plaques and stickers, and the opportunity to add the Locals Love Us award logo to their marketing materials. The favorite charities win a $1,000 marketing scholarship so they can continue to make the community a stronger place.
