Red River Dance brings the art of dance to Down Syndrome individuals at Gigi’s Playhouse in the Fargo-Moorhead Area.

Haylee Thompson, Program Director for Red River Dance & Performing Company, wants to help families with Down syndrome achieve confidence and creativity through the art of dancing. Last spring, she taught three classes on Sundays for a four-week session at Gigi’s Playhouse; an achievement center for individuals with Down syndrome.

The dancers at Gigi’s Playhouse come in all ages and abilities, shapes and sizes. Haylee is passionate about helping the dancers achieve their personal best and develop a deep appreciation for the arts. In turn, the dancers at Gigi’s Playhouse, love to participate in the music and the movement. Haylee has enjoyed being a part of these dancers’ progress and is looking forward to donating more dancing lessons in the future.
