For over 40 years, we have been keeping families close to their ill children receiving medical care in the Fargo area.

We serve over 750 families each year through two core programs: 

Our Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House provides so much more than just a place to stay. We are committed to meeting the unique needs of families who are caring for their ill children.

In addition to a private hotel like guest room, families enjoy access to home-cooked meals, a fully stocked pantry and a kitchen to prepare meals as they wish, play areas, laundry facilities, computers, WiFi, and more, so families can concentrate on what is most important – getting their child healthy and home!

We understand that families come to our House exhausted, stressed, and often fearful of the unknown. In addition to being miles from home, many feel the mental weight of mounting medical bills.

Thanks to a supportive community, we're able to surround families with love and support -- from amazing volunteers and caring staff to connecting with other guest families who are facing the same uncertainty that comes with a medical diagnosis. 

We accommodate up to 24 families each night and provide a place to call home 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Our Ronald McDonald Family Room

Located inside the NICU at Essentia Health, the Ronald McDonald Family Room serves as a space of respite for families steps from their child’s bedside. Families are able to rest, grab a snack or beverage, shower or take a little break without worry of missing an important update or milestone.
