Carmela Davis graduated with a BBA in Accounting from North Texas State University. She graduated with Magna Cum Laude with an accounting GPA of 3.91, with over 33 credit hours of Accounting.
In 1982, she received her CPA (Certified Public Accountant ) certificate from the State of Texas.
Continuing Professional Education not only is a requirement, but a priority for Carmela as she strives to stay current in all areas. She attends over 50 hours yearly of continuing education courses on various subjects offered by the Texas Society of CPA's and other professional organizations. Additionally, she maintains her continuing education for her insurance license and broker's license.
Also, her continued involvement and volunteer efforts with the Internal Revenue Service Center. She volunteers each year to teach the VITA program in January for the IRS. Furthermore, she was appointed to be a member of the IRS Practitioner Appeals Liaison Committee.
Carmela Davis began her business in June of 1985. Prior to that time, she had worked for a Big 8 Accounting firm in Dallas, Texas and then a local regional firm. She enjoys her family, running, outdoor sports, and her community involvement.
