Zimmerman Honda Lives United

Zimmerman Honda has been a part of the Quad Cities community since 1952. Over the course of those sixty-three years in business, the car dealership has had the opportunity to become well acquainted with the needs of Quad Cities residents—as well as the opportunity to help meet those needs by partnering with United Way of the Quad Cities.

Led entirely by volunteers, United Way of the Quad Cities is a nonprofit organization that exists to prepare children for success in school and in life, put individuals and families on the path to financial stability, and improve the overall health of the community.

Zimmerman Honda shares that vision. That’s why its staff has invested so much time and money into helping United Way of the Quad Cities succeed.

Over the years, Zimmerman Honda has put on many events for the benefit of United Way of the Quad Cities. Zimmerman Honda holds annual Employee Workforce Giving campaigns, during which staff members are exposed to dozens of United Way programs and beneficiaries—and they raise thousands of dollars because of it. The dealership has also held month-long drives in which a portion of all vehicle sales are donated to the organization.

Zimmerman Honda especially has a heart for supporting the educational programs of the United Way of the Quad Cities, particularly Operation Read and Imagination Library. Last year, Zimmerman Honda sponsored employees in forming Operation Read teams throughout the Quad Cities school systems in order to encourage children to enjoy reading. Zimmerman Honda also hosted a Kids’ Fun Day at the dealership, where families got to experience exciting activities, reading sessions, and Imagination Library registration and giveaways.

These are just a few of the ways Zimmerman Honda supports the United Way of the Quad Cities. As a locally owned and operated company, Zimmerman Honda recognizes the importance of living in unity—and living United.
