Happy Joe's

Over forty years ago Happy Joe Whitty opened the doors to his first restaurant, Happy Joe’s Pizza & Ice Cream, in the Village of East Davenport. Fast forward to today and Happy Joe's has become a Midwest landmark with over 50 restaurants in six states, and the story of Happy Joe Whitty has become a real-life tale of the American Dream in action.

In December 1972 Happy Joe hosted what would become the first of hundreds of Special Needs Parties for children in various communities. Last year at just one of the annual holiday parties, the iWireless Center in the Quad Cities welcomed nearly fourteen hundred children over the course of the two-day event.

What We Do

The Happy Joe's Kids Foundation supports organizations that help kids with special needs-whether those needs are developmental, income-related, or education-based.

How Can I Help?

The Happy Joe's Kids Foundation gives those people interested in helping children with special needs a variety of opportunities to get involved with the kids and causes that mean the most to them. Through our website, www.happyjoeskids.org you’ll be able to:

• Volunteer to actively participate in the events and operations of the Happy Joe's Kids Foundation,
• Tell us about your favorite organization that helps kids with special needs or about an upcoming event that will raise awareness and funds to support that organization, and/or
• Make a request for financial support to be considered by the Happy Joe's Kids Foundation Board of Directors.
