Do I need a referral to schedule an appointment at Eye Surgeons Associates in Bettendorf?
No, a referral is not always required for routine eye care, LASIK consultations, or optical shop visits. However, some insurance plans do require a referral to see our specialized ophthalmologists for specific medical or surgical conditions. Please call any of our clinics to verify your specific insurance requirements.
What insurance does Eye Surgeons accept?
We accept most commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, (except optical), PPO, and a variety of vision plans. Please check with your provider. Many have websites on which you can verify if we are in network. Please bring your insurance card with you to each of your visits. Check with your Medicaid representative to see who your local optical provider is.
What do I need for my first appointment?
Please bring your glasses, if you wear them, your insurance card, list of medications (or complete the text/email registration sent with your appointment confirmation), your co-pay (if applies), and a photo ID.
Can I browse or purchase glasses at the Bettendorf location without an eye exam appointment?
Yes! Our Bettendorf, Rock Island and Geneseo Optical Selection is open to the public during normal business hours. You can bring in a valid prescription from any eye doctor, and our licensed opticians will help you select frames and lenses. Visit our website to access our online frames gallery for hundreds of designer frame options. We do take appointments, please call the clinic to schedule, and walk-ins are welcome.
What parking is available?
We have a large, free parking lot directly attached to each of our main building’s entrances in Bettendorf, Rock Island and Geneseo. The lots include designated accessible parking spaces close to the front doors, and our facility features automatic doors and zero-step entry for wheelchair accessibility.
