Mickle Communication’s supports the It's All Love, Only Love Coalition

The non-profit, It's All Love, Only Love Coalition, was established in February 2015; nearly a year following the suicide death of 12 year old Morgan Schmidt.  Her death on April 6, 2014 prompted her mother, Christine Schmidt, of Bettendorf, to become a self made activist. The Coalition works to educate teens and families about anxiety and depression to help prevent suicide. Christine Schmidt is a gifted speaker whose delivery of Morgan's story is not only deeply touching but also contains very valuable information for the students and parents. Children of all ages relate to Morgan's struggles with anxiety and depression whether it be circumstantial causes or diagnosable disorders.

Christine Schmidt has been asked to speak at many schools throughout the state of Iowa as well as Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio, Texas, New Hampshire; the requests for the Coalition to share its mission and Morgan's story are growing.

In March, Schmidt traveled to Washington DC to meet with legislators about signing a bill for mandatory suicide prevention training in all schools. As Schmidt states, “I will go door to door like I'm selling cookies if I have to!”  Proof of that is in the fact that she not only visits schools and auditoriums but also churches, household living rooms, community meeting locations and anywhere she's asked!

In addition to speaking in person, The Coalition responds to calls, messages and emails from teens, families and schools in need of (sometimes urgent) information regarding assistance for care and support.
