Jordan's Joy helps families whoare battling with life-threatening illness by bringing the JOY of living to the families and patients.

Jordan’s Joy brings JOY to a child that is battling a life-threatening illness or a life altering event. They recognize that not every child and illness is the same, and tailor to the child and family’s specific needs. Financially, Jordan’s Joy has helped purchase expensive medical equipment, service dogs, gas cards, groceries, and prepared meals for families financially strapped by mounting medical bills. However, their real niche, is helping the family step away from the illness, hospital, and simply focus on bonding and healing. 

With help from the generous Quad Cities community, Jordan’s Joy has provided once of-a-lifetime experiences by giving the patients and their families something to look forward to, and something to look back on. Whether it’s a pizza and game night, a $1,000 video game shopping spree, a puppy, or visits from a superhero, these moments of joy help kids and their families forget about treatment for a while.

Jordan’s Joy’s mantra is “small but mighty.” They are honored to focus on the kids right in their own backyard. As a #smallbutmighty foundation, every single penny raised goes straight to the families. Mutual Med., a local company, pays for administrative and other expenses.

Jordan’s Joy was established in memory of Jordan Schmidt, a Quad Cities local that passed away at the age of 15. During his courageous battle with cancer, Jordan never let his illness or his diagnosis dim his light. Throughout this time, the Quad Cities community poured out generosity and support. After he passed, Jordan’s Joy was formed to give back to the community that was so giving to Jordan.
