Theresa Bryant has been a member of the KWQC-TV6 news team since 1992. She is currently the weather anchor for the News at Noon, and feature reporter for Paula Sands Live.
Raised in California, Theresa first discovered her love of broadcasting as a child. “I watched all of the TV stations in our area and became fascinated with all aspects of the business, from anchoring and reporting to production and writing. Helping other people tell their stories seemed very exciting to me.”
A proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Superior with a degree in Communication Arts and Journalism, Theresa started her broadcasting career in radio. She soon moved on to her first commercial television job at KDLH-TV in Duluth, Minnesota. Starting out as a floor director and camera operator, she worked her way up the ladder to the position of general assignment reporter/weather anchor. She left that job to join the award winning team at TV6.
Theresa believes she has the best job in the world. “I get to indulge my interests in news and weather, I get to meet a lot of interesting people, and tell their stories–I get to do a job I love and get paid for it. Doing this type of exciting work makes me very happy.”
During her time at TV6, Theresa has been involved in her community. She has been a past member of the board for the Family Museum in Bettendorf, and the Quad Cities Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. She has also worked as a volunteer for Junior Achievement of the Heartland since 1992.
Theresa’s hobbies include drawing, painting, music, reading, museums and the study of history.
