Cleaning for a Reason
Cancer patients often experience extreme exhaustion from treatment. This fatigue is especially difficult for women responsible for running a home. Thanks to English Maids and the Cleaning For A Reason Foundation, some cancer patients are getting the help they need. English Maids is a family owned residential and commercial cleaning service in the Waco and Temple area that has partnered with the Cleaning For A Reason Foundation to provide free house cleanings to women undergoing cancer treatment.
The mission of the Cleaning For A Reason program is to give the gift of free house cleaning for women undergoing treatment for any type of cancer. The goal is to let these brave and strong women focus on their health and treatment while partnering maid services focuses on, and take away the worry and work of, cleaning their homes– free of charge. Cleaning for A Reason has recruited over 1,200 maid services in the United States and Canada to donate free house cleanings to women who are undergoing treatment for cancer. Since 2006, maid services that have partnered with the Cleaning For a Reason program have volunteered their time to clean for over 17,000 women – valued at over $5,000,000. As one of the partners, English Maids offers one free house cleaning a month for four consecutive months to each cancer patient enrolled in the program that lives in their service area.
Owners Kay and Lauren English, along with their employees, love partnering with the Cleaning For A Reason Foundation, because it gives them the opportunity to give back to their community. They enjoy cleaning and want to share the experience of a clean home with the women of their community during this difficult time in their lives.
