HEAD SLP/ BUSINESS OWNER

JENN DAVIS, M.S., CCC-SLP

Jenn is entering her 13th year as a certified clinical competence (CCC) SLP in the state of Texas! She graduated from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2013 with her Masters of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology and earned her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Communication from Texas A&M University in 2009. Jenn has worked with the pediatric population throughout her career in the private clinic, home health, and school settings. Jenn is married to Trent who works for the Waco Fire Department and they have twin daughters, Harper & Emerson and a son, Carter. Jenn enjoys running, reading and being outside with her family!

Starting SONshine Pediatric Therapy has been a dream of hers and she is beyond excited to see how the Lord uses this company to bless the families of China Spring and the surrounding areas!

Jenn graduated Magna Cum Laude from TTUHSC & TAMU. She maintains her CEUs for her state and national licenses annually and is a member of the Texas Speech & Hearing Association (TSHA) and American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). She was awarded Faculty Member of the Month (March 2023) at China Spring ISD. She also volunteers her time as a coach for CSYAA and serves in her church.

SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Haven Howell, M.S., CCC-SLP

Haven is excited to join SONshine’s pediatric team as a speech-language pathologist. She earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Baylor University and holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Haven brings experience from her work in a Waco-area school district, where she supported children with a wide range of communication needs, including language disorders, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), articulation and phonological disorders, stuttering, and social communication (pragmatics). She is passionate about helping children build confidence in their communication and empowering them to advocate for themselves.

Haven is married to Grey and is the proud mom of Alice, with another baby on the way! She enjoys spending quality time with her family, reading, and baking. She also serves on the worship team at Acts Church Waco.

SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Rachel Barnett, M.S., CCC-SLP

Rachel is honored to join the SONshine team and serve her community as a speech-language pathologist. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Baylor University in 2023 and her Master of Science from Baylor University in 2024. Rachel has experience working with both pediatric and geriatric populations in a variety of settings, including university clinics, a skilled nursing facility, and the school setting. She has earned the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. 

Originally from Waco, Rachel enjoys staying involved in her community and loves seeing the area continue to grow. She and her husband, Ben, who works as a financial advisor, enjoy playing pickleball, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and trying new restaurants. Their faith is central to their lives, and they enjoy being involved at their church, First Woodway. Rachel views speech-language pathology as a ministry opportunity and is passionate about helping others communicate with confidence and connect meaningfully with those around them.
