Habitat for Humanity ReStores are building materials reuse centers, where donated new and used building materials are sold to the public at significant discounts. ReStores link those who have good quality materials they no longer need with those who could use these materials. Habitat for Humanity affiliates in the US and Canada operate hundreds of ReStores. Through their sales, ReStores divert building materials from the landfill, while their proceeds help fund the building efforts of Habitat for Humanity. The Quad Cities ReStore accepts donations of doors, windows, flooring, plumbing and electrical fixtures, cabinets and other building materials, as well as furniture and some appliances.

Habitat for Humanity Quad Cities is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles that seeks to put God’s love into action by building homes, communities and hope. Habitat for Humanity Quad Cities is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions. Habitat for Humanity was founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in decent communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all.
