The American Cancer Society is working to finish the fight against every cancer in every community. We are the largest private, not-for-profit funder of cancer research in the United States, investing more than $4 billion since 1946. Thanks in part to our contributions, more than 1.5 million lives have been saved in the US in the past two decades. Now, that is a reason to celebrate, so please join us.
We hope to see you there!
A letter from Emily Stephens’ parents - “Emily attended the first Lil Wrangler Party in 2001 at Floyd Casey Stadium, an afternoon of fun, food and activities for pediatric cancer patients and their families. This tradition began the year we co-chaired Cattle Baron’s Ball with the Wheelers. The Lil’ Wrangler Library is so special for us as Emily developed a love of reading early, and it remained a passion of hers throughout her life. While an in-patient at various children’s hospitals over the years, she would always look forward to the “Happy Cart” that would wheel from room to room with books and games for the kids – even when she was 23 years old!” The American Cancer Society appreciates all monetary donations as well as new or gently loved books. The Emily Stephens Lil’ Wrangler Library provides books for various hospitals’ pediatric wards. For more information please contact Robyn Trippe or Amy Jordan at 254-753-0807
